H + S Building is an established building company, with a significant client base in the Sydney, Southern Highlands & South Coast Region. We specialise in all types of construction, including custom new homes, duplexes, renovations and extensions. 

Project Process

We know that building a home or completing a renovation can be demanding and stressful, so our clients satisfaction and peace of mind is our greatest priority. That’s why we have put together the following stages of our procedure to ensure you’ll know exactly what to expect. 

Step 1 Get in touch | Following your initial enquiry, Sam will start gathering information about your project and explain how H + S Building works. This gives us an overview of your requirements and allows us to create an outline of your project. 

Step 2 First consultation | During this face-to-face meeting with Sam & Hayley, you can tell us all about your new project in more specific detail. Once we have explored your priorities and ensured the wish list aligns with the budget, we can get started on Step 3. 

Step 3 Design | We will work alongside you and the architect so we can produce your preliminary plans incorporating all the elements from your brief. Once the design is complete, we will provide you with an estimate cost for your project. After you have had some time to fine-tune your plans, review your quotation and are happy to proceed, we can move to Step 4. 

Step 4 Contract | This is where your architectural plans are finalised and it’s not only when you are happy with your plans and the contract price, and clearly understand exactly what is and isn’t included, that you will sign a contract with H + S Building.

Step 5 Approvals and selections | We collate all the required documentation and submit it to either a private certifier (CDC) or council, pending the design requirement. During this stage, we will also assist you with the final selections for the fit-out of your home, resulting in a full schedule of finishes, which means we are all set for Step 6.

Step 6 Commence construction | Construction of your new project begins! We will be in regular contact with you throughout the build, checking in and helping you make decisions as required.

Step 7 Handover | Construction is complete! Upon settlement Sam & Hayley will meet you on site and officially welcome you to your new home. Sam will walk you through the property and show you how everything works. But we’re not cutting the ties just yet, which leads to the final stage, Step 8!

Step 8 Maintenance | You will have access to the H + S Building team for maintenance requirements that may arise following handover. This is our favourite opportunity to catch up and see how you are settling in and enjoying your new H + S dream home.
